How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: Delete from the App (Recommended)

The easiest way to delete your account is directly within the Bondfires app:

1. Open the Bondfires app and make sure you're signed in to your account.
2. Go to your Profile by tapping the profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the Profile screen to find the "Danger Zone" section.
4. Tap "Delete My Account" and confirm your decision when prompted. You'll be asked to confirm twice to prevent accidental deletion.

Option 2: Request Deletion via Email

If you're unable to access the app or prefer to request deletion via email, you can contact us directly:

Please include the email address associated with your Bondfires account in your request. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the deletion.

What Data Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

• Profile Information: Your name, email address, display name, and profile photo
• Bondfires: All bondfires you created, including the original videos
• Video Responses: All video responses you've posted to other bondfires
• Watch History: All records of videos you've watched
• Device Tokens: Push notification tokens for your devices
• Authentication Data: Your login credentials and session information

Data Retention

When you delete your account through the app, your data is deleted immediately from our active systems. However, please note:

• Backup systems may retain encrypted copies of your data for up to 30 days before being permanently purged.
• We may retain certain information if required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention).
• Anonymized, aggregated data that cannot be used to identify you may be retained for analytics purposes.

Before You Delete

Consider these alternatives before deleting your account:

• Take a break: You can simply uninstall the app without deleting your account. Your data will remain if you decide to return.
• Adjust notifications: If notifications are bothering you, you can turn them off in your Profile settings.
