Community Guidelines

Bondfires is a community built on trust, ownership, and integrity. These Community Guidelines establish expectations for how we engage with each other and create a safe, supportive space for authentic conversations.

Our Values

Bondfires is built on three core values that guide everything we do:

• Ownership: You own your conversations, your data, and your time
• Integrity: We're honest, authentic, and committed to genuine community

Be Respectful

Treat other members with respect, kindness, and empathy. We're all here to connect and support each other, not to judge or tear each other down.

• Listen actively and respond thoughtfully
• Respect different perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds
• Assume good intentions unless proven otherwise
• Offer support, not judgment

Be Authentic

Bondfires is a space for real conversations, not performance. Be yourself—share honestly about your experiences, struggles, and victories.

• Share from your own experience, not as an authority on others
• Be honest about where you're at, not where you think you should be
• Vulnerability creates connection—don't be afraid to be real

Be Supportive

We're here to support each other through life's challenges and celebrate each other's victories. Offer encouragement, perspective, and care—not unsolicited advice or "fixes."

• Validate others' experiences and feelings
• Share resources and insights that have helped you
• Celebrate wins, big and small
• Be present for others' struggles without trying to "solve" them

Respect Privacy

What's shared in Bondfires stays in Bondfires. Don't share others' content, stories, or personal information outside the platform without explicit permission.

• Don't screenshot or record others' videos without permission
• Don't share identifying information about other members
• Respect boundaries—not everyone wants to connect outside the app

What We Don't Allow

To maintain a safe, supportive community, we don't allow:

• Harassment or Abuse: No threats, intimidation, or personal attacks
• Discrimination: No hate speech, bigotry, or discriminatory content based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, or other protected characteristics
• Harmful Content: No content promoting violence, self-harm, or illegal activities
• Spam or Solicitation: No advertising, spam, or unsolicited commercial content
• Misinformation: No intentionally false or misleading information, especially about health, safety, or legal matters
• Impersonation: No pretending to be someone else or misrepresenting your identity
• Pornographic Content: No sexually explicit content or nudity
• Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation: No content that sexually exploits or endangers children. See our Child Safety Standards for our full policy

Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it through the app or contact us at [email protected]. We take all reports seriously and will review them promptly.

When reporting, please include:

• What happened (describe the content or behavior)
• Who was involved (if applicable)
• When it occurred
• Why it violates these guidelines

Consequences

Violations of these Community Guidelines may result in:

• A warning and request to remove violating content
• Temporary suspension of your account
• Permanent termination of your account

The severity of consequences depends on the nature and severity of the violation, whether it's a repeated offense, and the impact on other members. We reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the community.

Disagreements and Conflict

Disagreements are normal and can lead to growth. When conflicts arise:

• Engage respectfully and assume good intentions
• Focus on understanding, not winning
• Take space if you need it—asynchronous format allows this
• If someone asks you to stop, respect their boundary

If a disagreement escalates into harassment or abuse, report it immediately.

Community Moderation

Bondfires is moderated by our team to ensure compliance with these guidelines. We may review content reported by members or proactively review content to maintain community standards. Our moderation decisions are final, though we're open to feedback on our processes.

These guidelines exist to create a safe, supportive space for all members. We're all here to connect, grow, and support each other. When in doubt, ask yourself: "Does this build trust, demonstrate ownership, and show integrity?" If yes, you're on the right track.
